This is the centrepiece your kitchen has been waiting for. The East Wood Design Butcher's Island is a full-scale, freestanding kitchen island built entirely by hand from solid American Cherry — a timber renowned for its warm, reddish-brown tones and the way it deepens and enriches with age and light.

The 70mm thick end grain top is the heart of this piece. End grain construction means the wood fibres run vertically through the surface, creating a stunning geometric pattern while being exceptionally kind to knife edges and remarkably durable. This is a working surface built to last generations.

Two slatted lower shelves provide generous storage for boards, pots, and kitchen essentials, while the solid cherry frame gives the island a presence that is both functional and genuinely beautiful.

Please allow 6–8 weeks for production. Each island is made individually to order.
