End Grain Butcher Island

Crafted from beautiful Pacific Rimu, this one-of-a-kind butcher block island is designed to become the heart of your kitchen. Combining timeless craftsmanship with exceptional durability, it features a substantial 70mm thick end grain top that is naturally kind to knife edges.

End grain construction is the preferred choice for serious cooks and chefs. It is kinder on knife edges, highly durable, and naturally resistant to wear, making it ideal for food preparation while developing even more character over time.

The warm honey tones and distinctive grain of Pacific Rimu give this piece a unique character. This timber is no longer available from my supplier, which makes this one of the last pieces I'll ever be able to create from this species.

The solid frame is built to last for generations and includes two spacious slatted shelves, providing ample storage for cookware, baskets, or kitchen essentials. Every piece is handcrafted in my workshop with careful attention to detail and finished with food-safe oils to enhance and protect the timber.
